Purpose & Mission Statements

The Purpose of the Media Committee is to make decisions and recommendations about how the media center can best support the curriculum and learning needs of the students at our school. The committee would ideally be composed of the certified Media Specialist, two teachers, an instructional coach or admin team member, a community member, and a parent. This committee meets 2-3 times a year unless a book is challenged or another need arises.
 
The Mission of the Media Center is to provide literary access and academic support for all stakeholders by doing the following:
