Principal - Mrs. Daniel

Mrs. Shannon Daniel
Dear Stark Elementary Staff, Families, and Stakeholders,
I am honored and excited to introduce myself to you. I was born in Austin, Texas, and at the age of eight, my family moved to Franklin, Tennessee, after my father retired from the Air Force and began a second career as a farmer. I enjoyed growing up on a farm!
From a young age, I knew I wanted to be a teacher. I fondly remember lining up my stuffed animals and teaching for hours. I earned my Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education from Louisiana State University and a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership from Mercer University. Over the past three decades, I have dedicated my career to education — 18 years as a teacher and over ten years in educational leadership. It has been a joy to impact the lives of so many children through my work as both an educator and administrator.
Outside of school, I enjoy spending summer days soaking up the sun on Jackson Lake, as well as rock crawling in the winter, and traveling as much as I can. Most importantly, I treasure quality time with family and friends.
Since moving to Jackson in July 2016, I have felt at home immediately. I am truly honored to serve as the principal of Stark Elementary, where I have found the best school family. Together, we will grow and succeed! My commitment is to work alongside students, staff, parents, and community stakeholders every day to provide enriching learning and life experiences. Our goal is to maximize every student’s potential so they are prepared for a bright and productive future.
We are #STARKSTRONG!
